These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Akatora (the “Service”), a non-profit, non-commercial platform operated by an individual based in Slovenia (the “Operator”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, the User agrees to be bound by these Terms.
The Service is available only to individuals aged 18 years or older. By registering, the User represents and warrants that they meet this age requirement.
3.1. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
3.2. Users agree to provide accurate information when creating and maintaining their profile.
3.3. Users may delete their account at any time via account settings. Upon deletion, associated personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Users shall not:
(a) harass, threaten, or abuse other Users;
(b) post or transmit unlawful content, hate speech, or content promoting violence;
(c) impersonate any person or entity;
(d) use the Service for spam, fraud, or unauthorized commercial solicitation;
(e) attempt to access another User’s account or data without authorization;
(f) attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service’s technical infrastructure, including through automated or scripted activity.
Violation of this Section may result in content removal, formal warning, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of the User’s account, at the Operator’s discretion and proportionate to the severity of the violation.
5.1. Users retain ownership of content they submit to the Service, including posts, comments, and images (“User Content”).
5.2. By submitting User Content, the User grants the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit that content solely as necessary for the operation of the Service.
5.3. Users represent that they hold the necessary rights to any User Content they submit and that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Direct messages are encrypted at rest but are not end-to-end encrypted; the Operator’s infrastructure retains the technical capacity to access message content under limited circumstances (see Privacy Policy, Section 4). Group and stream messages are not encrypted. Use of any messaging feature does not constitute a representation that communications are private from the Operator.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Operator makes reasonable efforts to maintain the availability, security, and functionality of the Service but does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Users may report content or conduct that violates these Terms through the Service’s reporting functionality. Reports are reviewed at the Operator’s discretion and may result in the actions described in Section 4.
The Operator may modify these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date, and Users will be notified directly of changes materially affecting their rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
